Hope it's not too hard.....

....to get back into a "normal" routine. We were off all last week for Thanksgiving break. Steve goes back to work. He's been off since last Wednesday. The cool thing is that he likes the job so much that he's not dreading it at all. This job was made for him.

The kids and I have to get back to the books. Tomorrow is gonna be a different Monday for me. The girl that I usually clean for on Friday's ask me if I could try Monday's. She said when I clean on Fridays, by Monday it needs cleaning again from them being home all weekend. So, tomorrow will be my first Monday to do this.

Tomorrow night I have a dinner date with Andrea. She helped me with a project back in September and her birthday was last month so I'm taking her to O'charley's. Morgan decided she wanted to go and Chelsei is sleeping over at our house tomorrow night so she's gonna go with us too. It should be fun.

It's been a good day! Sunday's are always good. Church and church family....GREAT! Morgan and Steve, YES, Steve sang a special song in tonight's service. It was so sweet. They did a very good job.

Several went to I-Hop tonight after service. My kids, of course, went. They ususally do, especially Morgan. You say "go" and she's gone before you finish saying the word. HA! I just wanted to be home, in my P.J's where it was warm and not raining.

I'm getting tired....

NO MORE

I've eaten turkey and dressing and sweet potoatos and green beans and...well...you get the idea.... until I can't hardley move. We celebrated Thanksgiving again today with Steve's family. Although it was deelish again, I think I'm ready for a good ole salad or something for a while.

O.K....I posted a picture of Rick laughing and said something about the "grape jelly" cake. Let me explain. I made a huge cheesecake this year. I usually get strawberry filling but the store was out of strawberry so I got blueberry instead. That sounds pretty good, right? Blueberry cheesecake! Rick took one bite at Thanksgiving and said..."tastes like grape jelly"...."I need a biscuit" HA! He was so right. I had already eaten a piece and decided it was NOT my favorite either. When Les ate it, she said...."I don't think I like this as well as the strawberry". So, I will not be making a blueberry cheesecake again. I took it over to my mother in laws today and left it there. Ha!

We had a very nice visit over there. I love my in laws. They are the greatest. We have a super relationship. We always have. That is such a blessing. There are families that cannot stand to be together but we have been blessed all the way around. We truly enjoy each other's company. And that Lexi Grace, my neice. She is a hoot!. She can running through the front door of my mother in laws today shouting....."HAPPY THANKSGIVING, EVERYBODY". I asked her tonight what she wanted me to get her for Christmas and she told me, "an instrument....a triangle instrument". Isn't that cute?! So, I will for sure being finding a triangle insturment for that baby.

The day after Thanksgiving

Well, we did shop BUT we did not get up at 5 am. We all decided we wanted to sleep in and just go when we felt like it. We started about 10 and it was great. I still got the deals that I wanted. Target was only out of one thing that Morgan wants but I'm sure they will get more in before Christmas. I got a good start today on my shopping. Becasue Christmas has gotten so expensive, we have decided on my mom side to draw names this year. It's gonna be SO much cheaper. Instead of buying for 17, we will only buy for 2 (the name Steve drew and the name I drew) minus the grandkids. We are still all buying for the grandkids. This will be the first time in my enitre life that I will not get Christmas gifts from momma and daddy. Neither one of them drew my name. They didn't draw Tommy's name either. It's gonna be kinda weird but it helps us all out with the expense. And, there is really not anything that any of us "need" anyway.

After my shopping date with momma, Les and Deb, I came home and started in with my Christmas decorations. Last year after Christmas, I bought a new tree. It's one of those tall skinny ones and it rotates. It's really cool. Several years ago, I decided to put a "pretty" tree in my living room. I wanted it to match the decor in that room but at the same time I didn't want to not put out all of the "centimental" ornament and such that the kids have made for me over the years. So, I decided to have two small trees in a different room. One for Chandler with all his memory stuff and one for Morgan with all her memory stuff.

So, here are a few pics of my Christmas decorated home

Screaming Headache

This morning when I woke up, I had a TERRIBLE headache! It's 1:30 in the afternoon now, and it's finally lightened up quite a bit. Thanks to those that I asked to pray...it worked!

I found a comforter set to go on the bed in what was Autumn's room. Thanks, Sis. Smith for those websites. I did look and yes you were right, they had some good prices. But, I actually found a set on sell at K-mart. I'll post a picture later. My camera needs charging right now.

I need to go to the store and get the stuff that I'm doing for Thanksgiving. We are going over to my mom & dad's tomorrow and then we will be spending Saturday with Steve's family.

And, of course, Friday will be shopping! Yeah baby....I'm one of those "CRAZY" people, as my husband says that get's up at 5 am (or earlier) to hit the stores. My mom, Deb, me and sometimes Les go shopping the day after Thanksgiving every year. We love it! Steve and I were talking about it just the other day and he said...."I think if someone told me they would pay for everything I bought that I day....I still would not go". HA! He says there is absolutley NO WAY he would stand in those lines.

It's the whole tradition of it for us, I guess. We have done it for years. It goes like this.....

On Thanksgiving Day, after we have stuffed ourselves to the point of not being able to breathe, we take all those sale papers and look, and look and look. The grandkids all "mark" the things that they want. They each have a "mark" that they use that belongs to them. For example, Morgan may mark everything that she wants with a star. Devan may mark everything that she wants with a check mark, Chandler may circle his stuff and Dylan will do something else. Or, they might just write their names on their stuff. However they do it, it's the same each year. Then we will take those papers with us the next day and shop till we drop! It's great!

Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Saturday morning when I woke up, I was still tired. I don't think I got enough rest the night before. I need at least 8 hours of sleep and I think I only got about 6 1/2 hours. Steve and I went and ran and when we got back home, he watched the TN Vols game and I laid down on the couch. That's the last thing I really remember for the next 2 hours. I fell SOUND alseep. Ah! It felt so good. I can't remember the last time I slept for 2 straight hours in the middle of the day.

After getting cleaned up, Steve and I went and did a little shopping. He needed new brown dress shoes, which we found at Off Broadway. I am looking for a comforter to go on the bed that was left here by Autumn. Her room is now gonna be my guest bedroom. I didn't really have any luck but I only looked at one place. I've got to check out a few more.

That's about it for Saturday....

Sunday was a great day. Bro. Sutton preached a super message, as always. I really enjoy listening to him. After service we had our Thanksgiving dinner. YUM YUM! The food was fantabulous. And then Sunday night was such a powerful service. There was such a spirit of prayer that revailed. I truly believe God is gonna answer some things soon!

Today, Monday, I spent with Kim, Vic, Morgan and part of the day with Chelsei. Oh yeah, a whole slew of us went to Taco Bell after service last night and Chelsei decided to spend the night at our house. That sweet Chelsei Rae! She reminded me of something that I had totally forgotten about. Years ago, when she and Chandler were 4 years old her family was living in White Bluff. They had come down for Chandler's birthday party (I think) and Chelsei decided to stay and spend the night. Sometime in the night, she decided she wanted to go home. Well, White Bluff is not exactly the next street over. It was at least an hour away, if not longer. SO, the ONLY way I could get her to stay was to stay up "all night" with her and just us two have a slumber party. And, thats just what we did. Ah! memories!

Kim had asked me if I would come help decorate her house for Christmas today. We had fun. Kim and Vic are those friends that you know, no matter what, thru the good the bad and the ugly, they are right there! Life long friends!!!

On a totally different note.....
please pray for my nanny. She is very sick. She is at my parents house so that my mom can help take care of her. My grandparents "house sit" for my parents when they travel on the weekends and this weekend she got very sick. She is 86 years old, so please pray.

Progressive Dinner

Last night was the progressive dinner for the youth. It turned out really well. Tons of fun! They started out at the Donnafields. I didn't make that one. I stayed at home waiting for them to arrive here. Steve on the other hand had to deliver kids so he went. They all made it to our house around 8:30, I think. Tons of people and I do mean TONS of people showed up. It was great.

I have NEVER made so much spaghetti in my life. Steve told everyone that I had made a "bathtub" full. Well, it wasn't quite a bathtub full but it was alot. I think it turned out pretty good for being so much. There was just such "funness" (if that is even a word) in the air. Better yet, a great spirit of fellowship. I so love my church family!

I did the devotion on "progressive" sanctification. Wait just a minute before you "freak out" on me. I talked about there NOT being progessive sanctificaiton. That the blood of Jesus does an instant work. After talking on that, I spoke of receiving the Holy Ghost. And how I have such a desire to see ALL of our young people filled. I simply ask those that didn't have it yet....."what are you waiting on?"

After our spahetti dinner we all piled in cars and headed to the Mayberry's. She had some awesome deserts. But first, she had everyone put their names in a hat. We all drew a name and each had to share something we were thankful for about that person. It was neat!

When our fellowship was finished there, we piled in cars again and off to the church we went. Steve and I dropped off the ones that we had and becasue of the fact that I NEED my sleep we headed back to the house. We climbed in bed sometime around 12:30.

Chandler is home in bed and I probably will not see him for many hours. Morgan has not made it home yet but I'm sure she will go straight to her bed as well. Such fun times! Being a teenage, staying up all night, hanging out with friends. What a great life! And especially being with church people and "good clean" fun makes it even better.

changing books here.....

Autumn texted me about 8 this morning and said that they made it to Minnesota about an hour earlier. Thank the Lord for safe travel. Please continue to pray for her and her family. I'm sure they have many hard days ahead but God did promise His peace that passes ALL understanding. Life is hard sometime. I honsestly DO NOT know how people make it without Jesus!!!!!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Only a couple of days until Thanksgiving. I'm so excited.

love you all!

It turned out to be.....

.....the best Family Day!!!!

I love, love, love my family. Did I mention I have the best family in the world and I love them?!

This morning I texted Les to ask her if she was going to this certain thing that I had planned on going to tonight. She was, so I said, "we should just go together". O.K. done. A little while later I texted her again to see if she just wanted to eat chili with us before we went. (I break my fast on Thursday's at dinner time, she does too.) She told me to text Rick to see if he wanted to stop by to eat chili with us. I did, text him and he did, want to come over.

While I was out today, I stopped by to visit with my mom. We sat and talked for close to 2 hours. It was great! I love my mom so much. I'm so thankful for what we have. Anyway, when I mentioned to her that Rick and Les were coming over to eat chili with us she said..."I wanna come too". (she also breaks her Thursday fast at dinner). I said, "come on". So, she and my dad also came. I loved it becasue I love my family so much!

Fast forward to after dinner. Les, me, Morgan and Katie had something we were doing. We did it, took Katie home then Les, me and Morgan went to Starbucks (yes, I spent another $4.44 for coffee). We sat and talked about "girl stuff" and we laughed and laughed. It was SO much fun!

It's just been an all around good "family day". I am so, so blessed to have the family that I have.

Thursday

What a boring title.....oh well....

I've got to go to the store today and get the stuff for tomorrow night. Let me explain....the youth are having a lock-in at the church but they are starting out with a "progressive dinner". Let me continue to explain..... they are starting at the Donnafield house for appetizers and worship, then they are progressing to the Fox house for dinner and devotion, then they are progressing to the Mayberry house for desert and prayer. Then they are progressing to the church for the rest of the night. Cool, huh? I love this idea! Good job, Amy!

Well, for the dinner, I think I'm doing spaghetti. That's easy enough for so many people. And, for the most part, everyone likes spaghetti. For the devotion, well, I'm not telling cause many of them will read this and I don't want to give it away. It's too cool though, the inspiration that God has given me.

I'm also going today in search of a certain color skirt. I got a super cute sweater at Goodwill last week and I need a skirt to wear with it.

The Riddell children are coming over today. Autumn is going to be watching them for Rachel.

Hmmmm, I guess that's all for now.

Such a fun night

Last night, Lynn and I had a date. We haven't had a "girl night" in months, maybe even a year or longer. We are both just too busy and don't take the time. But, last night, we decided to brave the cold and I do mean COLD and try to get some shopping done. Hopefully, some Christmas shopping. I had no luck. I think she came away with 2 Christmas presents. I did find trash cans, though.

Morgan and Autumn have needed a trash can for their newly re-done bathroom. One day I noticed that the trash can in the bonus room was missing. Steve needs the trash can in there becasue that is where he does church books and he always has something to throw away. I had no idea where that trash can dissappeared too. Morgan had no idea, Chandler had no idea, and I knew Steve had not moved it, he uses it the most. AUTUMN.....that girl. She said she and Morgan needed it in their bathroom so that she didn't have to keep going to the bonus room to throw things away. She had taken it and put in under the bathroom sink. The rotten little thief! HA!!

I found a sorta cute trash can at Target for $5.99. We were wanting a pink or lime green one. The only lime green I found was $19.99. Not happenin for something you throw stuff away in. So, I settled for this little clear one. We headed to Old Time Pottery. Lynn wanted to look at these platter thingys. Guess what I found at Old Time Pottery? A lime green trash can for $1.19. Can you beleive that? So, I snatched that puppy. They also had the same one in purple, that would match Morgan's room (she needed one too). So, I ended up with 2 trash cans for cheaper than the $5.99 one from Target. I think I'm gonna keep the Target one and put it in Cha's room. It's weird how we needed so many trash cans....ha!

I did find 2 picture frames at TJMaxx. Steve needs some pictures of us for his office. I had the pictures but needed the frames so I got those.

The last place Lynn and I ended up was Starbucks. yum yum! I got a decaf ( it was getting late and I did not want to not be able to go to sleep) pumpkin spice latte with whipped cream. Those puppies are expensive!!!! $4.44....for one cup of coffee. And people do that everyday. Crazy!

Thanksgiving Journal

Last night I was reading through the WMB paper and read about starting a "Thanksgiving Journal". I thought.....I would love to do this. So, starting on Thanksgiving Day, I'm gonna start a journal of thanksgiving. The point is to write something you are thankful for each day. Love it!

Speaking of being thankful. Last night in our family devotion, Steve was saying how thankful he is for his job. I'm telling you, this job was Heaven sent. With his job before, there was SO much stress. With this one, it's basically stress free. I said to him, "it's just perfect". He said, "well, the perfect job would be to get paid for not having to work" ha! But, for having a job, this one is perfect.

All those months of waiting and waiting and waiting and wondering when and how and what? All that time, God had this one in store for us. A girl at our church sings a song, "you can't ask too much of my God", and its true. In His perfect timing, with faith, He will answer. And it's usually better than you ask for. Oh, what a Mighty God we serve!!!

Speaking of being thankful, can you believe it's the week before Thanksgiving? I LOVE IT! I absolutley love this time of year. I love the whole hustle/bustle of it all. The Christmas music playing in the stores, the Christmas commercials....all of it. It just makes me feel good. Wanna hear what I've asked for from Steve and the kids for Christmas? Well....I want lights to go under the cabnits in my kitchen. The kind that shine down on your countertops. I want nice ones, not just a rope light up under there. ha! My kitchen has never been light enough and I have always liked those shining down. I'm excited. I've gotta go to Lowes to check out what they have.

until next time.....

Great COLD weekend

For the first time this season, I got to turn my fireplace on. It has gotten cold enough for it. Ah! I love it! There is nothing like snuggling close to a fireplace. Speaking of snuggling close to a fireplace....I kid you not this really happened.....on Sunday, while the fireplace was blazing, I looked up and Dakota (Morgan's dog) was standing right smack in front of it, warming herself. She really was. It was too funny.

Saturday was a great day. We had Ladies Day and it was super. I was really blessed. The Lord revealed to me something that day that I needed to "fix" about myself. Thank you, Jesus! You know, I pray all the time that if there is anything about myself that isn't pleasing to the Lord or that needs "fine tuning" as my dad calls it for the Lord to let me know. Well, Saturday, He did. Something that I had no idea I was doing but in His Grace and Mercy, he let me know and for this I'm so grateful.

Yesterday, Sunday was a good day as well. The Fox family taught in Children's church and I feel like it went well. Our whole theme this quarter is on Noah. Yesterday our lesson was on Noah being "the key" to his family. It went well, and the kids really got into it. I thought our craft was cute. I had called ahead of time and asked for them to each bring a picture of themself. I gave each of them a key. Not a small key, a big one that had been printed out on cardstock paper. We put their picture on the key with their name on it. We put magnetic tape on the back so they could put it on their fridge. It was to remind them that they could be "the key", as Noah was to the saving of someone in their family.

Gotta get moving. Everyone is still in bed and I need to get them up and going with school, after I have my devotion. Hope everyone has a super day.

It's back

Every year around this time, the stores start selling pumpkin spice creamer for my coffee. It's a seasonal thing for some reason and I just love it. I bought two containers of it yesterday. yum...yum

Let's see... oh yes, Chandler and my shopping date yesterday. Guess what we bought for him..............a hoodie. Yep, that's it....A hoodie. I was all ready to get the boy some church pants and we looked and looked and looked and well, you get the picture. Well, we only looked at Kohls, but we looked and looked and looked and had no luck. He needs a 30/34. That's not a weird size at all, but not one single pair, not one. Frustrating.

Today, I cleaned for the house that I clean for on Friday's, except today was a little different. I had company as I cleaned. They have a VERY LARGE dog. An inside dog. Well, if you remember from a previous post, I AM NOT a big dog person. They scare me (most of them, not all) Shelia, the girl I clean for knows that I'm leary of big dogs so she graciously puts Trixie outside before I get there. She called me earlier in the week to tell me that Trixie hurt her paw and is not suppose to be outside except to only potty. She wanted to make sure I would be O.K. with it. I told her I thought I could handle it. I have met Trixie before and she did seem like a very nice dog.

When I got there, Trixie met me at the door. I did say a prayer on the way that I would be O.K. After greeting me, she went back to laying on the bed. She stayed there until I had to get her up to change the sheets, but she did just fine and I did too.

I took Chandler to Steve's office this afternoon. They were going to the Belmont game tonight and it would have been silly for Steve to come home and then go right back downtown. Tonight is alumni night at the game and the guys got in for $1 each. Cool, huh?

Tomorrow is Ladies Day. I know it's gonna be great. I'm looking forward to it. I'm expecting blessings and encouragement from the Lord and each other!

God is Good....

ALL the time!

He knows ALL and sees ALL and I'm humbled by His Goodness in my life. I live to serve Him and please Him in my thoughts, words, and actions. I Praise His Holy Name!!!

Today....Chandler and I are going shopping together. WHAT?! Chandler and shopping are usually never used in the same sentence. But, the boy is in need of some clothing. Last Sunday morning as he was getting ready for church, he walked out in these pants that clearly were ready for a flood. I said, "you cannot wear those". Therefore, leaving him with really only 1 other pair of pants that he wears to church. I was going through his closet yesterday and found some long sleeved shirts that will still work for this year. You forget what you have from season to season and it's kinda like having new stuff again. "Oh yeah, Cha, remember this one?" "Oh yeah, I forgot you had this". So, he's not in need of shirts as he is pants.

He wants some new hoodies. And, he needs new tennis shoes. And, he could probably use one more pair of jeans. So, after school, off to Kohls we go. And, maybe Old Navy.

I'm looking forward to spening this time with him. Usually, Morgan and I shop together. She is indeed, a shopping queen. She has more clothing than him, but it's simply becasue she "wants" to shop and he does not. He waits until he truly "needs" things and will go. Shopping with him is MUCH different. He wants to go, get it, not try anything on becasue, well, just becasue he's a guy and leave. Morgan on the other hand, will grab more than she can hold, try on every single peice, mix and match, try it on again, just to make sure it fits right and then start all over again. Ha! Way different, those two are. He's such a guy....she's such a girl!

Speaking of shopping, I went to the Goodwill yesterday and found 3 sweaters. Only $5.99 each. You gotta love that. It's crazy to spend outrageous amounts on things when you know you can get them cheaper at the Goodwill for example. I don't always find things there, but most of the time I have really good luck. Love it!

up early

Today, I got up at 6:30. Chandler was already in the shower. This job at Chick-fil-A has been so good for him. He has been really responsible with it. He was suppose to go in at 9 this morning but they called and asked if he could come in at 7 instead. He wasn't crazy about having to get up so early but he called them and said yes. Good for him!

Speaking of him being responsible. He came home Friday and said that he wanted to go open a checking account and get a debit card. I called the bank to see if it was something he could do on his own or if I had to be with him since he was under age. They said that as long as he had a drivers liscence and his social security card that he could do it himself. So, he did. (yes, Autumn, ALL BY HIMSELF)(inside joke...ha)

What would you do? I have had my cell phone for about 2 years. There is nothing wrong with it and I'm very use to it. My sister in law gave me a blackberry pearl. She got herself something else. It is very different from the phone I've been using. I text alot and have gotten use to the keyboard on my phone. The keyboard on the blackberry is like a typewriter keyboard. I can type well on a keyboard using all my fingers but I don't think it will be that easy using only my thumbs on the phone. This phone is alot "fancier" than mine. It's very nice. I will just have to get use to it and re-learn all the keys for texting. If my phone works fine and I'm use to it, should I just keep it or should I up-grade to the blackberry? Whatcha think?

2 in the last 5

Wondering what my title is all about???

I've had 2 comments in the last 5 posts. What's wrong with you people? Ha! BORING! Is it that my posts are boring or that blogland is just boring?! Oh well, it 's a good diary for myself anyway. But you know as well as I do, everyone likes to get comments.....so do it, people!
O.K. enough of that tanget...... lol

Last night (as I posted yesterday that no one commented on) hehe....we had our Children's Church meeting about the Christmas play. It was a good meeting and we got it underway. Kim already had an idea and we just put our heads together to get more inspiration.

Today, I did some cleaning and laundry. Steve worked at the church for a while and then headed over to Sis. Peggy's house to clean out her gutters.

When he got home, after he rested for a bit, we went for a run together. We did about 3 miles. It was very nice running outside with my husband. We talked and laughed and he showed me this log cabin that he has always loved. He says he would love to live in a log cabin someday. It looks just like one that you would see in Gatlinburg.

Tonight, we went over and visited with Steve's family. His mom made a huge pot of veggie soup with cornbread. It was yummy. I had over half of that apple cake left from last night so I took the rest of it over to my mother in laws. I ate 2 big pieces. Thank goodness for those 3 miles earlier today.

It's almost 11pm. I guess I should head to bed. Church in the morning and I'm expecting a great day in the Lord!

good nite.......and......DONT FORGET TO COMMENT!

Friday again?!

Man, do these weeks fly or what? I'm serious, it's unbelievable.

It's raining. I think the rain is gonna bring in cooler weather. I'm glad. 77 degrees in November is just crazy. Another one of those signs of the times....crazy weather.

I'm gonna have to walk those dogs in the rain. YUCK!

We had Morgan's soccer banquet last night. She got her trophie. Yet, another soccer trophie to add to the collection. I can't tell you how many soccer trophies we have between her and Chandler. They love playing soccer. I love watching them play soccer.

Tonight, those of us that work in Children's Church are meeting at Kim's for a pot luck dinner and to discuss the Christmas Play that the children will be doing this year. I'm gonna make a apple cake with cream cheese icing. It's yummy!

I've really begun praying about Chandler's future. He graduates next year and I want the Lord to give direction for his future. I can't belive how old my kids are getting. More than ANYTHING for them, I desire that they love the Lord, love The Church of God and seek His Will everyday of their lives. If I see this in them, I will be a happy mommy!
If you will, please say a prayer right now for God to give Chandler direction after he graduates. Thanks!

Not too much going on this weekend. The men are having a work day at the church tomorrow. They are gonna be cleaning up the landscaping and such.

UNCONTROLABLE Laughter

I have NEVER laughed harder than I did tonight in church. Let me explain...

Gene Mayberry got up during service to go out, I guess to the restroom or something. He sits closer to the front than the back. The very first step he took, he started what looked like he was loosing his balance. I thought he had tripped on Brad's wheel chair which was sitting just behind where he had been sitting. Come to find out, he had not tripped. His foot was asleep and so I guess he had no feeling in it and because he could not feel it.... he couldn't walk. From that first step, all the way to the back of the church he was leaning and wabbeling and trying to catch himself but could not get under control. When he finally stopped, he landed on one knee, knelt down. He never did fall, he just wabbled down the aisle.

IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm telling you, it broke the church up ....with laughter that is. I COULD NOT stop laughing. I could have made myself think of the saddest thing ever and it still would not have stopped me from laughing. I looked over at Kim and she was about to hyperventalate. I fianlly HAD to go out and when I did, several others did the same. We ended up in the nursery because we were so out of control.

It was Sis. White's WMB service and the funniest thing is she didn't miss a step. She had to see the whole thing because she was up front looking straight at him when it happened. If I had been up there, I would have LOST it. I would have had to dismiss the service or something. HA! I don't know how she did it. Kept going that is.

Andrea Yohe was laughing so hard that she had to read a scripture to herself to try to get distracted from laughing....it didn't work.

On the way home, we were talking about it and I said, it reminded me of someone doing gymnastics at the Olympics and you know how when they land, it's real precisce and quick?! OH...I'm still laughing!!!!!!

So, if you've read this and it didn't seem funny to you.... if you were there and saw it, there is NO WAY you could have not lost it too!

At the polls

I was waiting in line this morning at 9:30 to cast my vote. I decided to text Erika while I was standing there. I told her where I was and she said..."don't accidently vote for Obama". Ha! DONT WORRY!!!!! Can you tell who I voted for?! I can't wait to find out the results.

Last night Chandler said...."I hope Obama wins cause it means Jesus is coming that much sooner". Hmmmmmm????!!!

Either way.....I want to make Heaven.....Perod......and, by God's Grace and Mercy....I will!!!!!

changing books

Lynn and Katie left today for Virginia to visit family. Sometimes when Lynn is out of town, I will take care of some of her pet clients (she is a pet sitter). I only will take care of the really sweet ones. I don't care for big dogs. They make me nervous. So, I started walking these two cute little dogs today, Gracie and Prissy.

I was gonna go to the Y from there, but the weather was so beautiful, I decided I wanted to walk outside today. Autumn and Morgan went with me. I'm not sure exactly how far we walked but probably around 2 miles.

The kids are at the church tonight. They are having Christmas play practice. I can not believe it is time to start that already.

Well, I think I will go check out some of the results of the election.

Election Day

So, tomorrow is the big day, huh?! I'm not sure exactly what time I'll be going to vote. Not first thing in the morning, not at lunch and not when everyone is getting off work. I'm hoping to find a time where the line might not be as long. Hmmmmm....wonder who our next President will be? Whatever happens, God is ultimiatley in control. Right?...Right!

We are so close to the coming of the Lord....the handwriting is on the wall. What is it that the Bible says....that great and terrible day of the Lord. I'm so thankful for the blessed assurance that for me...it's that GREAT day of the Lord!!! I'm reminded of a song that says...."People get ready, Jesus is coming". It's so close....so, so, close. We have NO time to waste.

In other news......

Autumn made dinner tonight. It was deeeelish. She made Italian/Parmesean chicken, green beans, corn on the cob, rice, rolls and salad. She did every bit of it. Then, to add to that, she and Morgan cleaned the kitchen. I didn't have to do a thing. It was very nice.

My mom came by the house today to hang out for a while. Autumn invited her and daddy to eat dinner with us but they had something that they had to take care of. I love my parents. I'm very blessed to have them!

I guess that's all for now....

Lovely Day

What a wonderful God we serve. Hope you all had a great Saturday. I did!

The girls and I got to see the commercial today. It was really fun watching it. The out takes were hilarious. We got a big kick out of seeing it. It was a fun experience. At the end of us watching it, the director says, "we have a little something extra for you all to see".

Let me back up, just a little here....

One day last week Steve was in the Donelson branch. He was standing in the lobby and out of the corner of his eye, he sees something moving. We he looked out the front window, his truck was rolling backwards through the parking lot...HA! He goes busting out the front door, running to jump in and stop it from rolling. Thankfully, he got to it in time before any damage was done.

Well, the whole thing was caught on tape from the credit union camera. The manager of that branch, got the director of the commerical to edit it and put it on a CD for everyone to see. IT WAS HILARIOUS! You see Steve running through the lobby of the credit union and darting for his truck. Too funny! It was great.

The girls and I went from there to clean the church after stopping by Wal-mart for some cleaning supplies. I was mopping in the back and couldn't help but think about the day that Bradley had his car accident. He went and mopped the church that very day, having absolutley no idea how his life would change in a matter of hours. But, we are still praying and believing God for our miracle. It took 12 years for the lady with the issue of blood to get her healing, so it's NEVER too late!!!!!!

Tonight, the house is completely empty of kids. Chandler is in Cleveland until tomorrow. Morgan and Autumn are at the Sehrt's house for a band meeting and they are staying there for the night.

Steve is watching the Vols play right now and I think I'm fixing to take a hot bath and then make us some Pancakes to eat. I will fix chocolate chip pancakes for him and peanut butter pancakes for me. Mmmm....good!

Backing up, before Morgan and Autumn and I left the church today after getting it clean, we prayed at the alter for God to move in our services tomorrow. We prayed that every need would be met and that He would have His perfect will.

I hope and pray you all have blessed services as well!

Good nite!

Oh...don't forget to set your clocks back tonight!
