I have no idea why?!

According to the clock on my computer, it is 11:38pm and I have no idea why I am awake. I'm usually in bed by now but the sand man just hasn't hit my eyes yet. So, I'm posting.....

hmmmm.....today has been a good day, a really good day. God is so good and I'm so glad to know that good and truth and what is right will always revail. I love the Lord and am so thankful that He knows my heart and is always working for the good of His people. I desire to keep a soft, humble heart before Him in every situation. He knows exactly what I'm talking about right now, and I praise Him and so desire to be faithful to Him. He is so, so good!

Lets see.....

I cleaned for the house that I always clean for on Friday's. I went and ran a couple of miles. I ran some errands today such as going to the bank, paying a bill and getting groceries. We went to Red Robin tonight for dinner. I got a big juicy cheeseburger and fries. Yum, yum! Steve has to go into the Donelson branch tomorrow, for work, from 8 until 12. He is not normally going to have to go in on Saturday's but this is the grand opening for the public (or something like that) so he needs to be there. At 12, Morgan, Autumn and I are going there to watch the commercial. Remember, the commercial that we did a couple of weeks ago for Steve's new job? Well, we get to see it tomorrow and also see the out takes or bluppers. The girls are really excited about seeing it. I think it's coming on T.V. starting Monday. We just get to see it early. Cool, huh?

Chandler is bumming a ride with my parents tomorrow. They are heading to Georgia but they are making a stop in Cleveland to drop Chandler off. He has a friend there that he's gonna spend some time with. He's staying the night with Matt Zimmerman, going to Zion Hill on Sunday, spending more time with his friend and then my parents are picking him up on their way back home Sunday afternoon.

Hopefully, I will get sleepy soon. It's almost midnight....what's up with me?

Update on Autumn

Thanks to all of you for praying.

She went and got her blood checked and sure enough her thryoid levels were low, which explains for her feeling yucky and sleepy all the time. They adjusted her meds and so she should be feeling better in a matter of days.

Autumn

Please pray for her. She has been feeling really yucky. We think it has to do with her tyroid meds. Alot of times it takes a while to get it leveled out. She wants to sleep all the time. She's gonna go have her blood checked to try and get things figured out.

Please keep her in your prayers. I would appreciate it.

Go Titans!

So, last night our Titans won AGAIN! Wouldn't it be really cool if we went to the Super Bowl?! Steve and Chandler were, of course, right in front of the T.V.

Morgan and I decided to curl up in her bed and watch High School Musical. It is so cute and sweet. After we watched the first one, she said..."let's watch High School Muscial II"...so we did. I popped some popcorn for movie #2 and we climbed right back into her bed. I haven't watched 2 movies back to back like that in ages. It was so much fun, just her and I snuggled in that bed. Memories....AH! I love it!

This morning, after coffee and toast and my morning devotion, I got my clothes on and headed for a work out. As I was just getting ready to leave, already in the garage, Morgan popped her head out and said, "I want to go with you". So, she quickly got ready and we worked out together. We got home, grabbed a bite of something to eat and she and I sat down to do Algebra I. It's much easier this time around. With Chandler, I was learning myslef, so it made for some very stressful days. But, now that I've already been through this book, it's a breeze (so far). And Morgan is picking it up really well.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this awesome fall weather!

Didn't post all weekend

So, let's start back at Friday. We had our first band service since Bro. Sutton made his appointments. Steve and I have the honor of being band leaders for another year. What an awesome priviledge. Our band got changed up just a little bit. We have some of the same ones and a few new were added. Jeanie Shelton was added to our band. Some of you know here situation. I tried twice last week to get in touch with here. I left two messages and I know I have the right number becasue the voice mail is her voice. Please pray that I can reach her. I desire to minister to her in any way that I can.

Our band service went well, I thought. The Lord gave the inspiration for the devotion on "love". When I went into the Y last Monday to run, they had a Christmas tree in the lobby with shoe boxes all around it. I said to the lady behind the counter..."A Christmas Tree in October" and she explained to me what it was about. They want members of the YMCA to fill a shoe box for a needy child for Christmas. Of course this is a great idea and I'm all for charities (some of them) but my wheels got to turning of how I could use this idea for our band. So from there, the inspiration began to flow. At our band service, I sat up a small christmas tree and had small little boxes all over it. Inside the boxes were "acts of love". For example.....1.) spend time with someone 2.) send someone a text message of encouragement 3.) send someone a card 4.) call someone who has misssed more than 2 services in a row. You get the idea? So, each one of us took a box and have until our next months meeting to do our "act of love".

Autumn had invited all of the youth to come to our band service so with those of our band that were here (it was at our house) and with the youth that came, we had a house full. It was great! I had made a pot of chili and Lynn made a pot of potato soup. Then we played Catch Phrase. Oh my, that game can get so out of control (in a good way). It is SO funny to see people try and describe a word without giving the word away. My husband go so tickled at me at one point that he literally went to the ground laughing. It's hilarious how when you are being timed how weird your mind thinks. It was GREAT fellowship. We played guys vs. girls. We got down to a tie breaker and still we were tied. We had to have a second tie breaker and finally guess who won? Yep........of course, surely you didn't think the guys beat the girls.....no way.....GIRLS RULE! HA!!!

Saturday was Michael Stephens birthday. He turned 18 so the youth decided to plan a whole day just for him. They hung out all day Saturday and ended with a birthday party for him on Saturday night. Our youth just can't seem to get enough fellowship. I guess when you are young like that you don't have to rest at all. Us old folks love fellowship too but I gotta chill sometimes. I love it when they are together though. There is way too much out in this world that they could be doing so them having good clean fun is great.

I did alittle shopping on Saturday and got some super great deals. Last weekend I saw a really cute sweater at Target for $9.98 which is a pretty good price. I decided not to get it but when I went back in there this past Saturday, it was marked down even more to $4.98. So, that sweater now belongs to me.

Sunday was another great Sunday. Bro Sutton preached a great message on Grace, Mercy and Truth. I love to listen to him preach. It always blesses me! The youth hung out again in between services. I told you they can't seem to get enough fellowship. Shew...they make me tired. ha! Bro. Andy preached great last night as well. He's great and soooo funny! Again, the youth hung out and played games after service last night.

And now...it's Monday and time for Chandler and I to crack open that Geomery book. He has to be a work at 11:00 so I need to get off here since I 've filled you guys in on the weekend.

God is Good! (for Sis. Annette)

Pink + Green = Too Cute!

It's no secret that Autumn's favorite color is pink. Well, she shares a bathroom with Morgan and the way I had it decorted was very much not the two of them. Remember back several months ago when we re-did Morgan's room in the pink and green? I posted pics. Autumn said that she wanted to re-do their bathroom to match Morgan's room. She started gathering things for it in of course pink and lime green. I didn't care at all that she wanted to do this. It's just a bathroom and besides that it's upstairs. Now, if she wanted to do the downstairs, guest bathroom in pink and green, that would have been different. ha! (Sorry Autumn, I love ya but I would draw the line there...ha!)

Yesterday when I woke up she had taken down all of the stuff that was in there and replaced it with the pink and green. It looked really cute except that the walls were gold. YUCK! She and I were talking about it. I asked her if I should just paint the room white. She of course said "no.....do you have any of that pink that you used for Morgan's room". Well, actually, I did. I said to her..."let's paint it today". So literally in a matter of 15 minutes we were in that bathroom painting. That bathroom has two parts, actually two rooms. The front part has the sink and the second room/part has the toliet and bathtub. We only had enough of the pink to do the front room. We talked about it and decided it would be really cute to paint the other room the lime green. So of to Lowes she goes to get it.

I will have to say, it turned out so cute. While she was out, she picked up a super cute shower curtain that has the pink and green in it with some other colors. It now looks like 2 teenage girls bathroom. Very cute!

I will post pics tomorrow. Just too tired tonight and don't really feel like messing with it.

My first cold of the season

Yep, that's right. For several days now, I've been fighting a stinkin cold. Not a real bad one at all but they are so annoying. One side of your nose gets clogged, then the other, then both, then it runs. Oh good grief!

Today Morgan is babysitting for Amy Donnafield. I have to have her over there by 8:30 this morning. Well, she's not babsitting Amy...she's babysitting Perry & Abby. ha! From there, I plan to go Krogering. We need "stuff".

Autumn has been here for almost 3 weeks now and it's amazing how "comfortable" it is with her here. You know when you have a guest in your home, sometimes it can be "stuffy". You feel like you need to entertain? Well, honestly, with her, it's not at all like that . Actually, she's not a guest anymore. The "guest" feeling left about 4 years ago. She then just became a part of the family. My kids love her dearly. She really is like a big sister to them. We have a very open relationship. Open in that we have great freedom in talking to each other. She listens to me like a mother/daughter relationship. No, I'm not her mother, she has a great one and no she's not my daughter, I have one...a great one but the Lord has blessed us with something wonderful and I appreciate that.

Chandler's job at Chick-fil-A is going really good. He likes it alot. I'm very proud of him. Some of his friends now want to see if they can get hired there as well. Funny, huh? I think most of the time he runs the cash register. On his second day (I think) his manager walked by him and asked if he needed any help? Chandler said, "no, thank you, I'm fine". His manager then said to him, "it's kinda scary how fast you've picked this up". AH! That's my boy!!! He must take after his momma......well....O.K....his daddy! ha!

Speaking of his daddy, Steve is really, really enjoying the job. What a blessing. I'm still in awe of the goodness of the Lord. I can't thank Him and praise Him enough!!!!!

Gotta run...duty calls....

have a good one ya'll

4...count them....4

Steve and I were talking on the way to church this morning. Jesus answered 4 of our prayers this week, just this week. God is good, SO good, ALL the time.

Today, the Fox family ministered in Children's Church. Oh yeah, that reminds me, I didn't get those pictures taken of how we decorated the "areas" for Children's church. I will have to do that.

Anyway there are 4 families that each take a Sunday to minister and today was ours. This quarter the them is on Noah. The first week the Mayberry family taught about obedience. Last week, the Funderburk family taught on faith. This week, the Fox family taught on patience (how fitting, right?....ha!..... we know just a little bit about having to wait on something). When we got to the message part, I had Autumn go on and on about waiting for something that I had promised to give to her. She kept saying things like..."I know Tammy told me to wait, and I trust her but this is so hard". "She told me it would be worth my wait". She prayed and waited and waited and waited (she really hammed it up good about needing patience and knowing it would pay off). After a while, I walked in with a big pink fluffy stuffed puppy dog. Her favorite color is pink and I rewarded her for her patience.

I then talked about Noah and the patience he had to have waiting for the rain to come. He knew God said it was coming and he built the ark exactly the way God instructed and waited for the rain. I had the kids close their eyes and pretend they were Noah and that they were waiting on what God said that He was going to send. As they had their little eyes closed, I took a squirt bottle and squirted water all over them. They were not expecting it and got such a kick out of it.

I shared about how our family waited for 5 months for God to send the job that He had picked for us. It was the cutest thing. As I was sharing about it, Sloan Lowery spoke up and said "me and my PaPa prayed for Steve when he was going on that interview". It was so precious! And, what a faith booster to him to know that he prayed and God answered!!!!!

I could tell more since it 's been a few days, but I think I want to take a nap before we head back to church. So, until next time......

Would you like our autograph?????

Today was such a fun day. Let me explain my title.

Steve's new job is with Electric Serivce Credit Union. It's the credit union for NES (Nashville Electric Service). They are opening a new branch next week in Donelson and are really trying to promote growth. Well, Steve called me yesterday to ask what we were doing today? Ummmmm, well the usual. We (Morgan, Autumn and me...Chandler had to work) were needed to help with a commerical shoot. WHAT? Your kidding, right?! Nope, not kidding at all. The company was shooting a commercial today and needed people to be in it. HOW FUN!

So, us three girls headed there this morning around 10:30. It was the coolest thing. Morgan and me were in 3 of the scenes and Autumn was in one by herself and even had a speaking part. Steve also had a speaking part. We were there about 3 hours. It was really cool to watch and be apart of. It was so exciting....down to the whole...."Quiet on the set" .....and....."action". The commercial starts to air on October 24 so you guys watch for us......lol! Too funny!!!

Chels....this would have been right up your alley!

blessing - God providing Steve with a job he really is going to enjoy!!!!!

"God is gonna take care of us, Tam"

This is a comment that was made by a friend as I was sharing the news of Steve getting this job.

What a roller coaster ride. But....shew....it's finally come to an end! It's been 5 months that we've been searching DILIGENTLY for Steve's new job. All those days of dissapointment. Maybe this is it....Nope....maybe this is it.....nope. I can't tell you how many times that happened. Through all of that, we've trusted God. Does that mean that everyday was picture perfect.....nope.....but we've trusted God. And yet again...He's come through. Listen to me carefully.....GOD ANSWERS PRAYER!!!!!!!! Maybe this was 5 months for us and maybe your situation has been even longer but don't give up. If you continue to do what's right in God's sight, He will take care of the need.

Another friend said to me...."Just think.....if Steve had gotten a job just 2 weeks after he lost the last one, you would not have had all this time to trust God".

It's not always fun when you're right in the middle of it but when God moves and you look back, you can clearly see His Hand directing it all. WOW! I cannot tell you how this has boosted my faith and Steve's and the kids! God is Good!!!! (right, Sis Annette?)!

Just in the last month, I have seen God answer above what the prayer was. Not only will He answer, but He will make it better!!!! He's not finished. I just know He's not finished. There are more victories to be won. I'm soooooo excited and pumped ( can you tell?) ha!

I want to thank ALL of you that have prayed. My blood family and our church family have been right there with us, the whole time. The encouragement and strength that you've shown us is priceless. All the "little" things that have been done.....Thank you!

Above all, I thank my Lord! I praise Him for this job. There is NO doubt in our minds that it is God's will. The way we prayed and the way it was answered....God's Will if I've ever seen it.

If He did it for us.....He'll do it for you!!!!!

Fun...Fun...Day

Today, my mom and I took 5 teenage girls to Cool Springs mall to shop. And, one more met us there, giving us a total of 6. This is what Morgan wanted for her birthday. Momma and I had lunch together and just hung out at the mall until the girls were finished. It was alot of fun. We all crammed into momma's car and took off. They shopped for about 3 1/2 hours. While the girls shopped, momma and I picked up a gift for Olivia Taylor's baby shower tomorrow after church.
I loved spending this time with my mom!!!!

Then, tonight a group of us went to watch Zac Stephens play football. It was tons of fun! Oh, but before that, we went and ate Chinese with Bradley and Rick & Les and my mom & dad.

Today was Chandler's first official day at Chick-fil-A. I'm so proud of him. He seems to like it and doesn't mind at all "working". His schedule next week is great. He works Mon 10-2. Tues 9-2 and Thurs. 10-2. That's all. I think it's perfect. Not too much that his schooling will fall behind but just enough to have a little extra money in his wallet. And the responsibility....yes!

Now, I need to get off of here so I can pay bills.

c ya!

In the Lord's hands

Steve's interview went really well.  He said he was very pleased.  It lasted 2 hours.   The decision is going to be made next week.  So, we shall see.....

It's completely in the hands of the Lord!  If this job is His will, then we want it.  It this job is not the Lords will, we do not want it.  Simple as that!!!!!

Thanks for praying.  Please continue until we hear something.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Woohoo!!!!!

Chandler got a job at Chick-fil-A. He goes for orientation tomorrow from 3-6. I'm really excited and proud for him. His first "real" job. And, if he's gonna work fast food, I'm glad it's this company. They are christian based and are closed on Sunday's. I love that. I'm not sure about the one in Smyrna (where he will be working) but the Chick-fil-A in Murfreesboro even plays Christian music. This is gonna be great responsibility for him and will give him some gas and spending money. I told him the only requirement I had was that he had to get his school done before he went in. Go Cha!!!!

It's a rainy day. I'm glad. We need the rain. I'm still in my P.J.'s, sipping on some coffee...ah, how nice! I don't plan to get out of my P.J.'s until I have to get ready to go to the airport to get Autumn. She's flying in today. Her plane lands at 3:18 this afternoon. She will be here until December 9. She will going back to Minnesota then for her Dr. visits and Christmas.

Dont forget***** tomorrow at 3:00pm, Steve has his interview. We are very excited and anticipating what God is gonna do. We truly want God's will but shew this is nerve racking. LOL!
Please keep this in your prayers...we would appreciate it!

have a good day!

Also.....

Happy 28th Birthday Bradley.

Mo and Brad share the same birthday. How cool is that?

It's by God's Grace and Mercy that we are celebrating another birthday for the Bradmyster. I thank God for what He has done in Brad's life and for what He's going to do.

Didn't think it would be this long....but God knows just what He's doing!!!!!!!

Thank you Jesus for Bradley's life that you spared and that we have another birthday with him.

Happy Birthday, Morgan

Today my baby girl turns 14. I can not believe it! On October 7, 1994 at 4:04pm I delivered my second child. A baby girl weighing 7lb 8oz.

As a mother, I could not be more proud of Morgan. I am proud of her for many reasons but the most important and main reason I am proud of her is her love for the Lord. She lives to please Jesus. Her heart is pure. She strives to keep herself in a place that is pleasing unto Him. Of course, I don't know her the way the Lord knows her but I do know her pretty well. I live with her. I see her choices. I see her devotion to Him. I know there is nothing more important to her than making Heaven!!! And, for all of this, how could I be more proud?!

On a different note...she's fun!!! She keeps things around here lively......for those that know her.....BAM!!!!!! right?! She makes us laugh, often.

There are not enough words to describe my love for her. We have a very special bond that has come from the Lord and I praise Him for this.

Morgan, I love you baby girl. I hope you have a great birthday. You bring joy to my life in many, many ways and I pray that your love for Jesus continue to grow and grow as you grow and grow.

Happy Birrrrrssssss (family inside joke)! lol!

Update on the interview

Steve met with the recruiter today for a specific job. It went very, very well. She feels that Steve would match with what this company is looking for becasue of his experience with finance.

He has an interview next week with the actual company! YIPEE!

Keep praying....we want what God wants. It's sounding really good!

Help us Pray

Steve has a job interview in the morning at 9:30. It "sounds" really good BUT we want God's perfect will....not ours to be done!

thanks!

Quite chilly

October 1st. I love this month! It for sure feels like Fall. I love it! It got down to 46 degress last night (so the weather people say). I love that crisp feeling in the air. Makes me happy!

Last night at Morgan's soccer game, I actually needed and wore a hoody. YAH! I love it when it's just chilly enough for a hoody but not so cold that you need an all out coat. And with a cup of coffee in your hand, it makes it that much better.

Today, well, I'll be taking Morgan over to Lynn's at 10:30 to go to her Spanish class. Chandler ususally takes her for me but he is with my dad today, helping him do some things. I love it when Cha spends time with my dad. Just love it! After dropping Morgan off, I will head to the Y. I'm not running, thanks to the pinky toe issue but I can do the elliptical machine.

I need to grab some things from Wal-mart.

And then at 3:00, Morgan has an ortho. appoint. She has had her braces off for several months now and has been wearing her night guard but recently she has gotten this gap between two of her teeth that is absolutley driving her nuts. She had me call the orthodontist and make an appointment so we could check it out. She says she should not already be getting a gap after having braces on for two years. ***just a side note - it's not a big gap at all, but to her it is HUGE***

I also love the month of October because I love the months that my children were born. Morgan will be 14 on October 7 at 4:04pm. My baby....14...Oh my goodness!!!!

Have a great day ya'll
